Overview
The Frike Magma Mountain Electric Bike will probably appeal to those who are looking for a bike they can use both off-road and for normal road riding. It is quite capable of dealing with rough terrain but would not be out of place on the daily commute to the office.
Different from an original E-bike
The Frike has 26” conventionally spoked wheels fitted with off-road tyres. The bike frame is constructed from carbon steel. The front forks incorporate a damping system. The seat and handlebars can be adjusted to suit riders of different heights.
The bike is fitted with 27 speed dérailleur gearing (which is pretty impressive for a bike in this price range).
The Frike Magma Mountain Electric Bike weighs a total of 26 kilos and can carry a load weight of 175 kilos.
250W on Power !
As with the majority of electric bikes, you have the option of riding the bike using pedal power only, pedal assist mode or full electric mode (i.e. no pedalling required).
The battery is located in a compartment attached to the exterior of the bike’s frame. The manufacturer's data suggests that the battery can be recharged in approximately 4 hours.
The brushless motor fitted to the bike is rated at 250w, regardless of battery choice.
The maximum speed of the machine is approaching 25 Km/h. The 10Ah battery should allow you travel 40 miles. Obviously speed, terrain, weather conditions, the weight of the rider and incline will all have a major impact on the figures you actually return.
The LCD panel attached to the handlebars shows all the important information the rider needs with regard to speed, distance travelled, battery usage and mode selection. There is an LED light at the front of the bike as standard
